(or Maneki Nekos in japanese)and I love Chinese culture, much more than Japanese culture but it's curious...for years I thought this lucky cats were from china, but last year I went to a small Chinatown and bought one of these cute kittens and I wanted to investigate its origin. And I find that even were I live these cats are known as "Chinese lucky cat", and are often seen in Chinese markets, well, surprise for me! these cats aren't from china, but Japan.
